Are viable electric tractors available yet?

For light operations and intralogistics, yes and growing. For prolonged heavy work, the technology is still maturing.

Does electrification only help with renewable energy?

It already reduces emissions on the average grid, but the benefit is greatest with renewable electricity, especially solar self-consumption.
