Stop ploughing to protect soil structure and carbon.

Repeated ploughing undoes what regenerative viticulture is trying to build: it shatters aggregates, exposes carbon to oxidation and destroys mycorrhizal fungal networks. Reduced or no tillage reverses that.

Instead of the disc or rotavator, the inter-row is managed with cover and mowing, and the row with mulch or shallow mechanical weeding. The soil builds structure, infiltrates better and holds on to the carbon the other practices accumulate.
